Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops has set a new record for five day sales, topping USD $650 million and beating previous title holder, 2009’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 by $100 million.
The publisher reports that players have clocked more than 5.9 million cumulative hours playing the game online and that 2.6 million people played the game's multiplayer on the first day.
